- as words fly

truck driver
drifting through the fog
a Rafi song

_{Govind Paliath, India}

eastern fog
I slide up
the valley’s gradient

_{Tré, USA}

early dusk—
on the frozen runway
gull tracks

_{Souvik Chakraborty, India}

snow drops
on the Sherpa’s beard
base camp

_{Rupa Anand, India}

sea fog
dingo tracks vanish
from the sand

_{Lorraine haig, Australia}

dense fog
swallows the shorelines
a ferry’s foghorn
sounds like a beloved
wailing for her mate

_{Kala Ramesh, India}

lanternless I roam
the misty moors of longing
night after night
uprooting pricking thistles
from my heart and memory

_{Farah Ali, UK}

harvest moon
the path keeps winding
beyond the fields
I carry less and less
of all I thought I needed

_{Neena Singh, India}
