from the slush
a mosaic of snowdrops
phoning family
you defend us in a language
I promise to learn
—Farah Ali, UK
after many years
he sends me a photo
skyscraper moon
the house where I lived
now only in my thoughts
—Minal Sarosh, India
monsoon drive —
raindrops shape your name
on the windshield
somewhere in the petrichor
the familiar scent of you
—Mona Bedi, India
summer evening—
gazing at the moon alone
the heat softens
into the river of night
our old room echoing
—Fatma Zohra Habis, Algeria
