30 poems from my 30 days poetry challenge

Hello there, as mentioned in my previous post, I did a little poetry challenge in order to continue my writing in fun way. And now, here I am sharing the result of the little venture of thirty days writing challenge.

So, relax a bit and enjoy the poetry (I’m already assuming you gonna enjoy this πŸ™‚ )

But before that, I must tell you, there are few poems I feel, I want to re write so please excuse the incompleteness if you happen to notice.

Let’s begin-

1

early winter sunshine
how delicately
the bougainvillea blooms
a hope to become
what I always wanted to be

2

at the end
of the day
reading poems
a star falls
into another galaxy

3

walking through
the meadows
following first light
the sparrows in sync
from here to there

4

Just when I thought
I’m close to reality
the door unlocks
and the imagination
takes over

5

dried river
nothing remains
at this side too

6

row of cactus
a careful leap towards
the unknown

(Prompt by completeTheHaiga )

7

after a pause
traffic moves, slowly
across the street
leaves turning yellow
unveiling the town

8

how swiftly
the world has changed
winter evening
the time we spent
naming the clouds

9

long winter night

the spirit of forest
rests

in the shadows
owls hoot and
the leaves rustle

10

first light
how many days since
I’ve looked at the sky
how calm, how pretty
just as what I imagined

11

early winter
the daybreak
in dewdrops

12

cooking together
we share a laugh
through the window
the calmness of morning
sun on mother’s face

13

milky-way
one by one
the dreams fall

(Prompt by completeTheHaiga )

14

flower garden
on a butterfly’s wings
my little wishes

15

old fountain
heavy with wishes
another coin splash

16

raindrops
in the still lake
the day
everything changed
not to remain same

17

busy street
a man tips his hat
to a moving car
after the sudden rain
the washed out town

18

soft sun
planting the marigolds
her wrinkled hands

19

autumn foliage
a directionless journey
from where we are

20

what if,
what if not !
winter night
a long trail
to home

21

caught
between the sun
and the wind
an old oak
with few leaves

22

lotus pond
how many lifetimes
it has been
standing here
seeking answers

23

coming into view
a rural road
under the faint sun
the vultures
circle the sky

24

morning fog
settles
on a silent river
this heaviness
in the breeze

25

reading a book
in the hazy sun
warm breeze
a butterfly rests
and then flies away

26

ocean waves
leaving the “me”
off the shore

27

soft glow of sun
among the daffodils
a new butterfly

28

as if fog
swallowed the night
a gentle knock
of coming
winter days

29

walking to home
a street light
at the distance
after the rain
the freezing earth

30

etched with leaves
in winter’s mist
the night sky, halfway
the moon, in this solitary
task of writing

Hope you enjoyed the glimpse of little journey of thirty days of writing poem.

Do share your thoughts with me, happy writing πŸ™‚
