The Bougainvillea Journal is a quiet space for small poems and literary interests.

Rooted in the traditions of Japanese poetry, haiku, senryu, tanka, micro poetry, our magazine is devoted to the simplicity and living experience of life.

We also publish book reviews, essays and short reflections preferably 200- 500 words. Along with English, Hindi poems and essays are encouraged too.

We value sincerity and a compassionate way of seeing life.

Work that listens closely, to nature, to silence, to daily life, to the conflict of inner world. We are especially interested in writing that is attentive, honest, and rooted in lived experience.
