When was the last time that you stopped to look at the starry sky, setting sun or a flower or a butterfly. When was the last time when something completely mesmerized you, something so ordinary yet took you by surprise. Think, as sometime such subtle moments change the course of time. And I believe that’s what poetry do !<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Today, let’s ponder a bit how poetry might save you in this tiring world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poetry is here from the time immemorial, humans have been conversing the thoughts with poetry and music. Reading a poem makes you connected to that very emotion. It brings you closer to your own self, your emotions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A poem written ages ago carries the voice of that unknown creator. A creator, you might empathize with or might enjoy the moment with. And if you, yourself are the poet, it brings you close to that very moment when you wrote that piece of poetry. It gives you a chance to dive deep in those emotions again and re-live that very same moment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Poetry brings you closer to yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMost people believe the mind to be a mirror, more or less accurately reflecting the world outside them, not realizing on the contrary that the mind is itself the principal element of creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The famous words by Rabindranath Tagore, the great Indian poet, best explains the thought that we ourselves are the source of creation. And when you read and write poetry, it makes you feel so. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Poetry allows you to be vulnerable and also gives the courage to face your own reflection, your flaws. It empowers your soul, your very being. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. When in company of poems<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n When reading a poem, as a reader, doesn’t matter modern or classic, the experience of poet becomes mine. Sometimes, I sit beside them, tell them it’s okay and sometimes I laugh with them, enjoy with them the sun that went down ages ago or the sun that is up even after a decade. I touch the blooming flowers or stroll the empty nights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Poetry makes my solitude colorful, it makes the world bearable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Climb a mountain with a poem <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Poetry allows you to feel all the emotions, something that we are really lacking to express in today’s fast paced life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Poetry allows you to take a pause and notice that little wildflower in the cracks of the concrete. Poetry opens the door of possibilities, attune you to your own existence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n So, do climb a mountain with a poem. You’ll see how hopeless of a moment can become your strength and can become a change that you always wished for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n I’m sure there are many more things that I can write here to convince you to dive deep in the world of poetry \ud83d\ude42 but I really want you to explore this world first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re still not a poetry person, maybe you can start from some simpler poems. And what’s better if you manage to write yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Though being an amateur poet, here’s few of my own words.
